The Bradford Millennium Way is a 45 mile circular walk encompassing much of the idyllic countryside that surrounds the City of Bradford in West Yorkshire. The walk was devised by five volunteers from the Bradford Countryside Service as a suitable way for Bradford to commemorate the new millennium. The founding members were Chris Buckley, Malcolm Hutton, Phil Hatton, Jim Thornber and Andrew Wood.
The walk was officially opened on Saturday 16th September 2000 by Mark Reid, author of the popular Inn Way series of guide books.
To help prospective walkers find their way along the route a comprehensive walk booklet was produced, charged at only £3.75 per copy. As time has passed, the team have created 16 circular walks taking in sections of the Millennium Way, so that you can complete the entire walk over a number of sessions. They have put together a brand new booklet to compliment these new walks. At only £3.75 these represent excellent value for money and should become essential items in your rucksack! You can buy both booklets from these outlets.
